How to Reach Manali?

Manali is one of the main access points to start your Zanskar valley trip, offering good connectivity and facilities before you head towards the remote valley. Here’s how you can reach Manali:

By Air: The nearest airport to Manali is Kullu-Manali Airport (Bhuntar Airport), about 50 km away. It has regular flights from Delhi and other major cities. From the airport, you can hire taxis or take buses to reach Manali town.

By Road: Manali is well connected by road with major cities like Delhi, Chandigarh, and Shimla. The drive from Delhi to Manali takes approximately 12-14 hours via NH3 and NH205, offering scenic views of the surrounding mountains.

By Train: The nearest railway station is Joginder Nagar, about 150 km from Manali, but it has limited connectivity. For better train access, reach Chandigarh or Pathankot and then continue the journey by road to Manali.

Local Transport: In Manali, taxis and buses are available to connect you further towards Zanskar Valley or Leh, depending on your itinerary.
