About the Trek

This journey meanders through some of the most majestic landscapes of northern India, starting with the verdant valleys and pine-topped hills of Manali.

From there, the road climbs steeply into the dreamlike high-altitude desert of Ladakh, threading past fabled mountain passes such as Lachung La and Tanglang La, and serpentining past the show-stopping switchbacks of the Gata Loops.

The harsh beauty of Leh is accompanied by outings to the world’s highest motorable pass, Khardung La, and sand-duned flatland of Nubra Valley, all the way to the far-flung village of Turtuk at the Indo-Pak border.

The journey continues to the enchanting blue waters of Pangong Tso, nestled amidst rugged peaks, before turning west through the mountainous terrain of Kargil to arrive at the emerald lakes and grasslands of Srinagar.

This trip provides an unforgettable experience of the raw, dramatic splendor of the Himalayas.
