About the Trek

Hidden deep in the mountains of Sikkim, the Goechala Trek is every trekker’s dream. This breathtaking expedition takes you through rhododendron forests, glacial valleys, and remote alpine meadows to one of the most rewarding viewpoints in the Indian Himalayas –  facing the mighty Mt. Kanchenjunga, the world’s third-highest peak.

The trail starts from Yuksom, the ancient capital of Sikkim, and gradually leads you through a changing canvas of landscapes, from subtropical forests to vast snowfields. You will walk past serene monasteries, wooden bridges, and frozen streams as the crisp mountain air becomes thinner and fresher with
every step.

For those who seek more than a trek, a connection with nature, culture, and self, the Goechala Trek is a spiritual and physical adventure rolled into one. It’s not just about reaching the summit viewpoint; it’s about witnessing a side of the Himalayas that remains untouched, silent, and magnificently wild.
