About the Trek

Bhrigu Lake is a high-altitude lake, located at a height of 14,100 feet. The oval-shaped glacial lake, situated near Rohtang Pass, makes it the ideal location for thrilling adventures. A high-altitude alpine lake, lush meadows, and everything your heart desires await you on the Bhrigu Lake Trek in Manali, one of the most alluring short hikes in the Himalayas.

The lake got its name from the name of the Sage Bhrigu. The villagers claim that Sage Bhrigu used to meditate next to the lake, which is how the lake earned its name. With each passing season, the captivating lake’s colors change, adding to its spectacular grandeur. It turns emerald green in the late summer and turns blue in the summer, which is a beautiful sight to witness.

The trek takes you through Rola Kholi. Further, you will proceed to Gulaba, a village covered in snow blankets. You’ll pass through pristine forests and verdant, luscious landscapes. This three-day trek to Bhrigu Lake will offer you unmatched, breathtaking views of the Seven Sister Peaks, Deo Tibba, Indrasan, Hanuman Tibba, and the expansive Pir Panjal ranges, filling you with unending natural beauty. Also, it holds immense pleasure for those who wish to capture the night sky. This trek will give you a serene vista illuminated by millions of stars.
