How to Reach Solang?

The nearest airport is Bhuntar airport, 10 km from Manali. Cabs and local buses are easily available from Bhuntar to Manali.

Day 1: Manali to Jaralu Thach/ Bakarthach via Dhundi 

  • Reach Old Manali which is the meeting point for this trek. 

  • After arrival at the predetermined spot in Manali, your drive to Dhundi will start, which is a 20 km long route.  

  • The trek leader will give you a quick overview of the hike when you arrive at our Manali Campsite.

  • You will begin to ascend to Jaralu Thach/ Bakarthach, after getting your packed lunch.

  • Aside from the occasional bird and the sound of your footsteps, the forest is quiet and filled with a fresh scent.

  • Enjoy the breathtaking vistas of the Himalayas that surround you, particularly the alluring sight of Hanuman Tibba in the distance.

  • For your day 1, you will be camping at Jaralu Thach/ Bakarthach. 

  • Once there, get to your camps and unwind for a while.

  • Trekkers will be treated to a beautiful view of the Beas river as it meanders past stones and grassy hills as they approach the campsite. 

  • You can spend the night in your tent after a delectable dinner.

Day 2: Jaralu Thach/Bakarthach to Beas Kund and back, Drive to Manali Campsite

  • Enjoy a beautiful Himalayan morning as you awaken and fuel up for the trek with a delicious breakfast.

  • Start the Beas Kund trek, which is a little challenging but also rewarding.

  • You will be welcomed by the beautiful landscapes of the snow-capped Himalayas, including Hanuman Tibba and Indrasen, as your trek begins.

  • As the lush greenery continues to get sparser and you can make out the glacier from a distance, you will observe how the surrounding landscape is changing.

  • You will reach the Beas Kund, a lake with startling blue waters encircled by steep mountains and occasionally, purple wildflowers, after walking for four to five hours.

  • The Beas River originates in the lake, which is surrounded by a seemingly unending field of meadows.

  • Witness how the water flows as the numerous streams combine to form the large main river.

  • Take some time to enjoy the scenery nearby and take some photos to preserve the moment.

  • After some time has elapsed, we begin the 4-5 hour trip back to Jaralu Thach.

  • Start your descent back to Dhundi from Jaralu Thach taking the same path which you took while ascending. 

  • From here, You’ll lead towards Manali today itself. 

  • A vehicle will take you from Dhundi to Manali where you’ll spend your night. 

  • When you get to the campsite, take a break and have a satisfying meal before going to your tent.

  • Spend your night in tents but you can definitely choose to spend a few hours or maybe more Stargazing!

Day 3: Departure from Manali Campsite

  • Get up early to take in the stunning sunrise.

  • This is the last day of this excursion. 

  • Your short trek and the little adventure comes to an end here. Fill your bags with uncountable memories and lead to wherever you want next.
